Jim King is building serious momentum on the track, carrying speed into a standout weekend at Ozark International Raceway earlier this month.

On April 10, he completed NASA Competition School—the National Auto Sport Association’s program that prepares drivers for wheel-to-wheel racing—and earned his provisional competition license, then jumped straight into race weekend without missing a beat.

In his first time competing in race groups, Jim finished second in class and second overall in both races, holding his own against a competitive field.

Before heading out, he was recognized for winning the 2025 Time Trial Unlimited Class Championship within NASA MidAmerica, along with completing Competition School. He was then surprised with the honor of being named 2025 NASA MidAmerica Driver of the Year.
